If you look at media texts from a certain angle, it is almost always possible to find postmodern elements. This could mean all media is postmodern. Intertextual references in music. Websites are hyperreal. Video games relate to forms of media which are intertextuality and hyperreality. TV use magazines and website for promotion, linking to intertexuality. The idea of postmodernism is partly based on a particular view of contemporary life - a high-tech post-industrial society dominated by the'flow'of media images and information aroundthe world. Hybrid forms are said tolevel hierarchies of taste. Bricolage refers to different styles being murged together bu have different meanings. Disjointed narrative structures - These are said to mimic theuncertainties and relativism of postmodernity in films.
